We have dedicated, experienced and qualified service engineers.
Engineers are qualified to carry out machinery & tackle inspections as directed by The Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) & Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).

The above statements are true & obvious, so what can LIFTING SYSTEMS offer?

Workshop/Van

Each engineer has a workshop/van.
The van is complete with a GR15 access platform for up to 6m working height.General spare parts are carried on the vans like contactors, pendant buttons, trolleys to name a few.
Lubricants and greases for open gears, wire ropes & bearings are carried on the vans. New parts and components are purchased from original crane makers if not in stock.

The above statements are true & obvious, so what can LIFTING SYSTEMS offer?

Job Sheets

During a service, the engineer will complete a job sheet like an MOT inspection sheet.
Repair, replacement or advisory information is stated on the sheet.
Necessary repairs are quoted and agreed prior to work commencing.
It’s all about trying to address the problem before it becomes a breakdown.

The above statements are true & obvious, so what can LIFTING SYSTEMS offer?

Service Plans

Our service plans are tailored for your convenience and can accommodate working outside of normal working hours if required. We understand that the equipment will not always be available for service during normal working hours, if that means the factory operations are compromised.

We will always prioritise breakdowns and attempt to get you up and running as soon as possible.Routine servicing can be re-scheduled if your company is effected by this policy.

We service all makes of factory overhead cranes &associated lifting equipment. We even maintain some hoist unit &drives that have not been manufactured for years.

Legal Requirements

We understand our obligations to you the customer and you should be aware of yours. As members of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association(L.E.E.A)) we demonstrate our commitment to staying abreast of the latest regulations governing our industry. As an employer, you must ensure your equipment is inspected (and tested if required) before putting into service. Lifting tackle should be inspected at least 6 monthly intervals with overhead cranes being at least 12 monthly. The hours in use and duty factor will determine more frequent inspections.

The above statements are true & obvious, so what can LIFTING SYSTEMS offer?

Refurbish & Replace

It’s fair to say that some equipment will reach the point of uneconomical repair.
If this is the case then we can upgrade things like tired long travel drive units or old hoists with dated technology. Old worn out long travel drives can be replaced with smooth modern drive units and wheel boxes. Pendants changed to radio control(it’s not that expensive these days) and hoist units changed completely for lightweight modern units.Generally, this work can be carried out on site with very little disruption to the customer.

Eventually even the good old “built to last” equipment needs to be replaced and our service department can draw on the resources of the manufacturing division to carry out upgrades & modifications to cranes and supporting structures.

With large fabrication bay’s we can comfortably handle cranes up to 30m span for modification and upgrading for a new lease of life.

If you’re looking for a company to maintain your cranes and lifting equipment, call our Service Manager and start working with people who know overhead cranes.
